Finished this book last night. (I found it at a rental house.)
I waited tables summers all throughout college and honestly, I miss it. This book just reminded me just how much I miss it. It’s not something that I could see doing forever, but, in reality, waiting tables is fast-paced, good money, and (usually) fun. I think it’s different than any other job out there. People who I’ve worked with at restaurants before say they never want to go back, but I don’t know, I wouldn’t mind doing it for another bit of time.
Anyway, I liked the book, and it reminded me of another thing I liked about waitressing—always crushing on the cooks.
PS: While google searching for that book cover, I found this. How is it possible that I never, ever knew this existed? And the guy’s name is Jack Bourdain???
